Q:What is the learning like on Michlelet?

A:

The learning on Michlelet is both informative and enjoyable. Girls on Michlelet learn an array of different topics at various levels of learning. Learning ranges from discussion-based to text-based. The amazing madrichot prepare fun and practical chaburot that are given over in a pressure-free, non-school like environment. You will also hear from many world-renowned speakers several times a week.

Q:If I go to public school, will I feel comfortable on Michlelet?

A:

Of course you will! The girls on Michlelet are incredibly warm and loving and come from all different backgrounds. They help create an atmosphere that is extremely open, accepting and not judgmental. When it comes to learning, Michlelet has different learning levels to accommodate each girl’s prior learning experience.

Q:What kinds of activities are available on Michlelet?

A:

Besides the daily schedule, Michlelet has tons of other fun programs! During the day, girls participate in a variety of activities like sports, art, kickboxing, zumba and more! They also go on enjoyable, meaningful chesed trips twice a week. Each night there is a different and exciting night activity. Michlelet has a great balance of learning, touring, chesed and loads of fun!

Q:What types of trips does Michlelet go on?

A:

Michlelet’s touring takes you all over Israel: from Tzfat to Masada and from Ein Gedi to the Mediterranean Sea. They have fun banana boating, hiking, rafting, zip-lining, rappelling and much much more!

Q:Are there scholarships for Michlelet?

A:

Financial aid is available from the National NCSY office. Scholarships are need-based and given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. To be considered for financial assistance, you must fill out the online application and submit your most recent tax return.

Q:What if I don’t have anywhere to go for my free Shabbat?

A:

During the summer, you’ll notify the Michlelet staff and they will place you at the home of one of our amazing staff members or families we know in Israel where you will have an incredible Shabbat experience!

Q:Can you accommodate specific food restrictions and requests?

A:

Yes. Michlelet has its very own personal chef who is there to accommodate all of your health and dietary needs. However, it is important that our staff knows ahead of time so we can accommodate your needs to the best of our abilities.

Q:What is the staff like on Michlelet?

A:

Each madricha on Michlelet has a unique combination of outstanding characteristics. They are incredible, fun and down-to-earth girls who will always be there for you and are happy to help you with anything that you need.

Q:What if I don’t know anyone on Michlelet?

A:

If you don’t know anyone, then you’ll just make that many more new friends! Michlelet is an incredibly warm, unified and open environment. Within the first few days you will meet plenty of fun, friendly girls who might be your friends for the rest of your life. By the end of the summer, Michlelet is one big family!
