Summer 2022

Last day and Banquet!

Hi! I’m Sara from Bergenfield, NJ šŸ™‚ Today we had our final Chaburahs and classes, which really gave us an opportunity to reflect on how much we have learned and grown over the summer. We then began to pack our things before a geshmak Broadway themed banquet. The banquet was great way to look back on the summer, express our hakarat hatov, while having an epic concert with Duvie Shapiro. We ended the night with our final Michmar where we enjoyed our last preshabbos chulent, kugel and singing while getting into the shabbos spirit. Can’t wait for the most amazing last shabbos here on Michlelet!

August 9:Chessed wedding

Hi! I’m Shana and l live in NJ. Today was one of my favorite days on Michlelet so far! This morning we had our regular chaburot and teacher shiur followed by lunch. What made today so special were the activities. Today we had the huge privilege to do the mitzva of hachnasat kallah!! We worked all day to create a wonderful wedding atmosphere. I had the honor to be part of decorating the chuppah! All night so many girls worked happily waitressing the meal, uplifting the ruach with ā€œshtickā€, and dancing with the kallah. The wedding was truly beautiful and the kallah’s face had a smile and special glow throughout night.

August 8: Shuk tour, mini tiyulim, night speaker and talent show!

Hi! I’m Noa and I live in Florida. Today we started off our day with a meaningful and uplifting davening followed by a delicious breakfast. We then split up into our chaburas and teacher shuirim where we got to learn from our madrichot and teachers. After we got to sign up for different activities – whether it was singing, baking, dancing, drama etc.. it was so fun!! After that we ate lunch followed by mincha where we davened and heard an inspiring Dvar Torah from one of our friends. We then split up once again into our second chaburas and teacher shuirim where we continued to grow and be inspired. After a meaningful day of learning and activities, some of us got to go on an awesome shuk tour and some went to a super cool ropes course park! We then returned back to campus and had dinner followed by an amazing speaker named Rachelle Fraenkel and ended off the day with an elite talent show!! I can’t wait to see what fun tomorrow brings! šŸ™‚

We dressed up in amazing shtick to go make patients in different wards happy, and wish them well and a Shabbat Shalom. After we came back from the chessed trip, we had a delicious dinner and an amazing shiur from Rebbetzin Schneider, who talked to us about ×Øחל אימנו, in preparation for our trip to Kever Rachel tomorrow morning. After the night speaker we headed off to a surprise night activity – iJump!! We had a blast jumping on the trampolines and spending time with each other. We had such an amazing, jam-packed day, and can’t wait for the upcoming Shabbos in Reishit!

Hi I’m Avital , from Los Angeles. After a meaningful morning of learning, we had the privilege of either going to the dialogue in the dark, dialogue with time, or invitation to silence. Rebbetzin Yudin, then, shared inspiring stories from her life, where she experienced how ā€œchesed is a boomerangā€! We ended off this spectacular day with searching for the madrichot, who blended into the crowds, in the Big Fashion Mall!
