July 17th!

Hi I’m Leah Milgraum from Philadelphia and I came on Michlelet to have both a fun and meaningful experience with amazing campers and Madrichot. Today I stepped out of my comfort zone and chose to wake up at 3 am for a sunrise hike up Masada. While this was difficult for me, both seeing the sunrise and Davening at the top of this monumental place in Jewish history really connected me to my roots. I found out so much more about my heritage and discovered the meaning behind Masada was so much more than a pretty mountain. After this, we went to Ein Gedi which not only has biblical significance but refreshing water falls as well. This ended up being a great chance to cool off and relax after the hike up Masada. When we got back to campus, we had an amazing meal as always followed by some much needed rest. I am looking forward to another meaningful and fun day on Michlelet 2023!

Day 9!!

Hi!! My name is Ilana Moses and I’m from Silver Spring Maryland. Today on Michlelet was so much fun and so meaningful! This morning, after an inspirational davening we had our teacher shiurim and madrichot chaburahs which I gained so much from. I especially love the discussions we have during this learning time. Next up was a bunch of activities we could choose from, and I chose baking, which was so much fun! After lunch, we headed off to our chessed trips. One bus went to Save a Child’s Heart, and my bus went to Kefar Yeladim David, a place where children from broken homes can come to. We tie dyed and played with the kids, and I felt like I gained so much more joy than I gave, and left on a high. When we got back to campus we had some free time, and after dinner and an amazing speaker, we had an awesome bonfire and s’mores! I am so excited for another great day on Michlelet!

Day 7!!

Day 2 of our Tevaria trip began early in the morning with a gorgeous sunrise hike where we got to daven overlooking the Kineret. From there we went to water sports which included all different types of boating, or just having fun in the water with friends. We then got to visit the Kever of Rebbe Meir Baal HaNeis and learn about what made him so great. We finished our day with dinner in Mitzpei Yericho where we enjoyed the food along with the incredible view. After a long day of amazing activities we boarded the busses to head back to Lev and rest up for another great day. – Sara Gans

Day 5!

Hi Michlelet my name is Chaya Perel Littwin and today was the most amazing day of my summer so far. We started off the day with davening. Right after davening they announced our Chaburas and Shuirim. I was so excited along with the whole Michlelet. Our morning was full of Torah and inspiration. We had a variety of options for morning activities. During the activity I had a fun water fight with my Madricha. We had the most delicious lunch made by Chef Miri. After lunch we went to the Beit Midrash to start our afternoon Chessed by making packages for Chayalim. We hopped on the bus and headed straight to the Chayalims base. As we gave them the packages we felt as though we had added so much Simcha to their day. We came back to RBS for some free time and shopping with friends. Then we Davened Mincha followed by the a yummy dinner. We had wonderful night speaker followed by night activity. A packed day, and we are just getting started for the best.summer.ever!
